Well I'll tell you what I think, I think it's been nearly five months since I originally wrote about this phenomena and I still don't understand it anymore now than I did back then. That's what I think.

Even now I can hear you babbling to yourself, "WTF are you talking about Mister Cantankerous?" What I am talking about of course is this fetish some of you future brain donors have with gas masks.

I wrote about this rather bizarre phenomenon last November in an article called "Why the Mask?". To be honest I got shit for answers back then, and I am once again seeing images of gas masks popping up more and more frequently on Zombie Fan pages on Facebook. If you missed my original article on the subject you can find it here.

So again I ask, "Why the Mask?" What kind of protection do you honestly think a gas mask is going to afford you in the advent of a Zombie Apocalypse? More importantly how did gas masks become associated with Zombie Apocalypse survival in the first place? How exactly did this particular future brain donor fetish come about? I'd sincerely like to know, because quite frankly I don't get it.

While you're pondering your answer to this question, I thought I'd treat you Gas Mask fans to some images I've collected over the past several months.
